Apostrophe The apostrophe, while not considered part of the English alphabet, is used to abbreviate English words.

These consist of the first and last letters of the keywords with an apostrophe between them, such as W'R for WHENEVER and D'N for DIMENSION.

There are, however, a number of punctuation marks that still cause frustration and confusion such as where to put an apostrophe or how to use a semi colon.
