Noting also that at the time of filing, the secretariat and the claimants were not aware that the consolidation would have consequences regarding the payment of the claim and that had separate claims been filed rather than a consolidated claim, the claimants would have been paid in full by mid 2003,

Compensation

Category C Palestinian late claims corrections In summary, the recommended corrections relate to five category C Palestinian late claims submitted by the Palestinian Authority and result in a net decrease of the total amount awarded in the amount of USD 48,878.45.

The State party notes that the Supreme Court, in its decision of 1 December 1993, noted that the report of the National Board of Survey did not indicate that the compensation had been incorrectly calculated.
