We have transgressed and have rebelled you have not pardoned.

We have transgressed and have rebelled thou hast not pardoned.

Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled therefore don't forgive them.

And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself therefore forgive them not.

If you forgive anyone's sins, they have been forgiven them. If you retain anyone's sins, they have been retained.

Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme

They said O our Lord , we have wronged ourselves . If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us , we shall certainly be lost .

They both submitted , Our Lord ! We have wronged ourselves so if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us , then surely , we are of the losers .

They said , ' Lord , we have wronged ourselves , and if Thou dost not forgive us , and have mercy upon us , we shall surely be among the lost . '

The twain said. our Lord ! we have wronged our souls , and if Thou forgivest us not and hath not mercy on us , we shall of a surety be of the losers .

We have wronged ourselves . If You forgive us not , and bestow not upon us Your Mercy , we shall certainly be of the losers .

They said , Our Lord , we have done wrong to ourselves . Unless You forgive us , and have mercy on us , we will be among the losers .

We have wronged ourselves . If You do not forgive us and do not have mercy on us , we shall surely be among the losers . '

We have wronged ourselves . If thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us , surely we are of the lost !

They said , Our Lord , we have wronged ourselves ! If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us , we will surely be among the losers .

Both replied ' Lord , We have harmed ourselves . If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us , we shall surely be among the lost '

They said , Our Lord , we have wronged ourselves , and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us , we will surely be among the losers .

They replied , Lord , we have done injustice to our souls . If You will not forgive us and have mercy on us , we shall certainly have incurred a great loss .

They said Our Lord ! We have been unjust to ourselves , and if Thou forgive us not , and have ( not ) mercy on us , we shall certainly be of the losers .

They replied , Our Lord , we have wronged our souls if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us , we shall be among the lost .

They said Our Lord ! We have wronged our own souls If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy , we shall certainly be lost .

and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Why do you not pardon my disobedience, and take away my iniquity? For now shall I lie down in the dust. You will seek me diligently, but I shall not be.

And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

Preserve me , O Lord , said ( Noah ) , from asking You that of which I have no knowledge . If You do not forgive me and have mercy on me I shall be among those who perish .

He submitted , My Lord ! I seek your refuge from asking you the thing of which I do not have knowledge and if You do not forgive me and do not have mercy on me , I would then be a loser .

He said , ' My Lord , I take refuge with Thee , lest I should ask of Thee that whereof I have no knowledge for if Thou forgivest me not , and hast not mercy on me , I shall be among the losers . '

Nuh said my Lord ! verily take refuge with Thee lest I may ask Thee that whereof I have no knowledge . And if Thou forgivest me not and hast not mercy on me , I shall be of the losers .

I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge . And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me , I would indeed be one of the losers .

He said , O My Lord , I seek refuge with You , from asking You about what I have no knowledge of . Unless You forgive me , and have mercy on me , I will be one of the losers .

I take refuge with You that I should ask you for that concerning which I have no knowledge . And if You do not forgive me and do not show mercy to me , I shall be among the losers .

Lo ! in Thee do I seek refuge ( from the sin ) that I should ask of Thee that whereof I have no knowledge . Unless Thou forgive me and have mercy on me I shall be among the lost .

I seek Your protection lest I should ask You something of which I have no knowledge . If You do not forgive me and have mercy upon me I shall be among the losers .

He said ' My Lord , I seek refuge with You from asking You of that which I have no knowledge . If You do not forgive me and have mercy on me , I shall be among the losers '

Noah said , My Lord , I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge . And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me , I will be among the losers .

Noah said , Lord , I ask You to prevent me from asking You ignorant questions and beg you for pardon and mercy or else I shall certainly be lost .

He said My Lord ! I seek refuge in Thee from asking Thee that of which I have no knowledge and if Thou shouldst not forgive me and have mercy on me , I should be of the losers .

He said , My Lord , I take refuge with You from asking You something of which I have no knowledge . If You do not forgive me and show me mercy , I shall be one of the losers .

I do seek refuge with Thee , lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge . And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me , I should indeed be lost !

But still we celebrate. Today our Christmas trees are bigger, and even bigger still are our statues of the Virgin Mary before whom we pray, crying and begging Her to forgive us for forgetting the Mary curled up in some refugee camp only meters away.

That purpose, of course, is to create an Asian Monetary Fund, i.e., a regional alternative to the International Monetary Fund, whose tender ministrations during the 1997 98 financial crisis have not been forgotten or forgiven.
