Therefore bring forth fruit worthy of repentance!

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

We afflicted the people of Pharaoh with famine and dearth of everything that they might take heed .

( Moses ) said O Lord , as You have been gracious to me I will never aid the guilty .

And indeed We seized the people of Firaun with a famine of several years and with reduction of fruits , so that they may follow advice .

He said , My Lord ! The way You have bestowed favour upon me , so never will I be a supporter of the guilty .

Then seized We Pharaoh 's people with years of dearth , and scarcity of fruits , that haply they might remember .

He said , ' My Lord , forasmuch as Thou hast blessed me , I will never be a partisan of the sinners . '

And assuredly We laid hold of the people of Fir 'awn with lean years and lack of fruits , that haply they might dread .

He said my Lord ! whereas Thou hast favoured me , I shall nevermore be a supporter of the culprits .

And indeed We punished the people of Fir 'aun ( Pharaoh ) with years of drought and shortness of fruits ( crops , etc . ) , that they might remember ( take heed ) .

He said My Lord ! For that with which You have favoured me , I will never more be a helper for the Mujrimun ( criminals , disobedient to Allah , polytheists , sinners , etc . ) !

And We afflicted the people of Pharaoh with barren years , and with shortage of crops , that they may take heed .

He said , My Lord , in as much as you have favored me , I will never be a supporter of the criminals .

We afflicted the people of Pharaoh with hard times and with poor harvest that they may heed .

Thereupon Moses vowed My Lord , because of the favour that You have done me I shall never support the guilty .

And we straitened Pharaoh 's folk with famine and dearth of fruits , that peradventure they might heed .

He said My Lord ! Forasmuch as Thou hast favoured me , I will nevermore be a supporter of the guilty .

Certainly We afflicted Pharaoh s clan with droughts and loss of produce , so that they may take admonition .

He said , My Lord ! As You have blessed me , I will never be a supporter of the guilty .

We seized Pharaoh 's people with years of drought and scarcity of fruit so that they might remember .

He said ' My Lord as You have favored me , I will never be a helper to the wrongdoer '

And We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and a deficiency in fruits that perhaps they would be reminded .

He said , My Lord , for the favor You bestowed upon me , I will never be an assistant to the criminals .

For years We afflicted Pharaoh 's people with shortages in food so that perhaps they would take heed .

He said , Lord , in appreciation for Your favor to me I shall never support the criminals .

And certainly We overtook Firon 's people with droughts and diminution of fruits that they may be mindful .

He said My Lord ! because Thou hast bestowed a favor on me , I shall never be a backer of the guilty .

We afflicted Pharaoh 's people with shortages of food and famine so that they might take heed ,

He said , My Lord , because of the favour that You have shown me , I vow that I will never be a helper of the guilty .

We punished the people of Pharaoh with years ( of droughts ) and shortness of crops that they might receive admonition .

He said O my Lord ! For that Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace on me , never shall I be a help to those who sin !

Their excuses will be of no avail to the sinners on that day , and they will not be allowed to beg for favour .

So on that day the unjust will not benefit from their excuses , nor will anyone ask them for compensation .

So that day their excuses will not profit the evildoers , nor will they be suffered to make amends .

On that Day the excusing of themselves will not profit those who did wrong , nor shall they be suffered to please Allah .

So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail those who did wrong ( by associating partners in worship with Allah , and by denying the Day of Resurrection ) , nor will they be allowed ( then ) to return to seek Allah 's Pleasure ( by having Islamic Faith with righteous deeds and by giving up polytheism , sins and crimes with repentance ) .

On that Day , the sinners excuses will not benefit them , nor will they be excused .

So that will be the Day when the excuses of the wrong doers will not avail them , nor will they be asked to make amends .

In that day their excuses will not profit those who did injustice , nor will they be allowed to make amends .

On that day , the excuses of the wrongdoers will not benefit them , nor will they be asked to propitiate Allah .
