Those ugly and disruptive forces are having a severe impact on the bedrock of humankind's core values and human civilizations.

This cannot be tolerated either, for we are well aware of the potentially devastating consequences of such campaigns.

For durable regional peace to be realized, all the negative forces have to be comprehensively handled and forcibly disarmed.

This remains one of the major ways in which the negative forces access arms and are allowed to reorganize.

For almost five years, the â œwar on terrorâ has proved to be a false metaphor that has led to counterproductive and self defeating policies.

So feelings of injustice gave rise to resentment, envy, and a destructive energy focused on revenge against former enemies and old friends who seemed successful.

The tsunami in Asia was preceded by devastating hurricanes and tornadoes in the Caribbean and North America, and destructive phenomena in other parts of the world.
