At the same time, we welcome the CARICOM summit communiqué, which indicated the inclination of a significant number of CARICOM member States to support the draft resolution.

In view of the decisions adopted at the African Union and CARICOM summit meetings, we are ready to continue our dialogue with the African Union and CARICOM, as well as the United Nations membership at large.

The Territory is an associate member of CARICOM, whose goal is to promote closer political and economic integration among Caribbean States, and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

The Caribbean Community has a special interest in the protection of the Caribbean Sea.

However, the Caribbean Community continues to be concerned about the apparent neglect of the unsustainable debt of middle income countries, among whose ranks the majority of CARICOM States are included.

Currently, several Latin American and Caribbean countries allow online census data processing via the Internet. ECLAC, together with CARICOM and UNFPA, continued supporting Caribbean countries in census data processing and provided technical support to initiate census evaluation and analysis.

8. Supports the efforts of Caribbean countries to implement sustainable fisheries management programmes

Kralendijk () is the capital city and main port of the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands.

In the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), five territories are associate members and one is a full member.

It is also essential for Haiti to regain its place within its natural family the Caribbean Community.

States of the Caribbean Community continue to make a contribution to global marine scientific research.

Anguilla is a member of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, an associate member of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, the Association of Caribbean States, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and the Caribbean Community and Common Market.

CARICOM continued to promote the integration of the Caribbean Non Self Governing Territories into the Community and other regional and international organizations as that engagement prepared them for assuming full self government.

Therefore, CARICOM has embraced regional integration and cooperation as the vehicle of socio economic prosperity.

January 2006 will usher in the CARICOM Single Market and Economy.

The CARICOM States had achieved significant advances with regard to women's empowerment.

CARICOM congratulates the African Union on its achievements and pledges its continued support and cooperation in that regard.
