To strengthen the International Court of Justice, in order to ensure justice and the rule of law in international affairs.

We hope for justice in this area from international institutions.

That is good news for the European continent, for international justice and for justice as a whole.

I would like to say at this meeting that Paraguay is suffering from a misapplication of international justice.

There is also a need for information about good practices in criminal justice to be exchanged and for better understanding of the relevant international standards and guidelines on criminal justice among criminal justice professionals, civil society and the general public.

Each year, people around the world use this day to host events to promote international criminal justice, especially support for the International Criminal Court.

Even the most dedicated partisans of international justice concede that the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has had many shortcomings.

If this proves true, the ICC and its sponsors have muddled justice with diplomacy.

Efforts to achieve greater justice in international economic relations have not been as successful as we had hoped.

In establishing the Tribunal, the Council took an historic decision to restore international peace and security through the vehicle of international justice.

Justice is about equal rights the equitable distribution of resources in the territories of different States the equality of all before the law and respect for international agreements.
