The 2006 budget proposal includes an increase of 1 million to strengthen core water and waste activities in the United States Territories and those Territories in a relationship of free association with the United States.

(c) To explore the idea of a programme of collaboration with the decolonization focal points of territorial Governments, particularly in the Pacific and Caribbean regions, to help improve the exchange of information

The seminar reiterated its support for the current participation of the Non Self Governing Territories in the relevant regional commissions of the United Nations and in specialized agencies of the United Nations.

7. Urges those specialized agencies and other organizations of the United Nations system that have not yet provided assistance to Non Self Governing Territories to do so as soon as possible

Mindful also that some Territories have not received a United Nations visiting mission for a long period of time and that no visiting missions have been sent to some of the Territories,

In that war, among United States territories, Puerto Rico had ranked second (after the Hawaiian Islands) in terms of deaths and third in terms of other casualties.

In particular, the fact that Puerto Ricans perished in Washington's war in Iraq, where Puerto Rico ranked third among United States territories in terms of fatal casualties, was giving serious cause for concern.

At its first meeting, the Chemical Review Committee considered 14 chemicals, where at least one notification had been received from at least two prior informed consent regions.

The most recent involvement had been when the United Kingdom representative had attended and presented a paper on constitutional developments in the United Kingdom Territories at the seminar held by the Special Committee in Papua New Guinea in May 2004.
